Subject: Objections to $7,000,000 Reno Gazette (RGJ) Self Bail-Out Scheme to Unload Its
Archaic, Time-Worn, and Long-Empty Building

AN OBSERVATION: Is It a Huge Tax Scam; Or Is it a Sneaky Back-Door Attempt to Fraudulently
Trick Reno Into a Bail-Out of the Defunct and Deceptive Reno Gazette (RGJ)?
Or both?

NOTE! THE RGJ Building IS NOT A "public safety center"; contrary to what is wrongfully
declared by this strangely concocted Agenda Item

AND A FACT: The RGJ (a taxpayer-funded [quasi-government] organization (click for
evidence) claims to be a government watchdog over Reno government.
This Agenda item tries to trick the citizens to think that it is Reno government that
is coming to RGJ with interest in funneling $7,000,000 to RGJ's semi-bankrupt coffers. 

1. Patriotic honesty demands that  the citizens of Reno NOT be duped into a Bail-Out
of the RGJ. Period!  Sam DNA Dehne has ubiquitously exposed the RGJ as a failed 
government-oversight gaggle of government shills.
 

4. Wrongfully spending $7,000,000 of Reno's precious taxes on that archaic and
dilapidated building where sleaze has permeated for decades would be a double-dealing
bail-out "bribe" that could be held over the city council's heads forever.  

4a. It will cost many more $$millions of tax dollars to rebuild this very old
building so that it can pass basic Standards for Legal Occupation.

5a. The defunct and disrespectful RGJ should be thrown on the heap of
trash along with its trash-worthy "news reports".

6. This contaminated conspiracy wreaks of illegal fraudulent law-breaking behind-the-
scenes, back door, "smoky bar rooms" discussions that violate the Law and the Spirit of the Law.
Who are the the principals involved in these potentially gross Open Meeting Law violations!?!
And how, when, where were they given authority to speak on the City of Reno's behalf?

Nevada Open Meeting Law Preamble: ".. government cannot be by the people and for
the people unless it exercises its powers under the scrutiny of the people."

7. Any Reno council member who votes in favor of this manipulated hoax should have
to explain themselves and be subject to the Legal Dictates of Ethics and Conflict of Interest.

Our Reno Police (and their Chief that I nominated) and every member of the Reno Police Force
deserve a whole lot better than being sentenced to confinement in this putrid, dangerous, outdated
building with this pusillanimous attempt at cowardly disloyal deception.
There are many better ways the Police could use those $7,000,000 Tax Dollars.
(NOT EVEN COUNTING THE "OTHER" $25,000,000 THAT WILL BE NEEDED TO MAKE
THE 40 YEAR OLD BUILDING LEGAL AND LIVEABLE.)

This deal is worse than the day Reno Council (AGAINST SAM'S ALMOST SINGLE-
HANDED BIBLICAL OPPOSITION) bought the current Black City Hall to help bail out cronies
and then had to pump $$dozens of Millions more of our $$$taxes to make it live-able and
Code Compliant.
The physical condition of this RGJ building is an antediluvian disaster.
The perfidious rip-off wreaks of insider-complicit cronyism.
Bordering on treachery. (Violation of Citizens' Trust) 
And for what? To bail out pathetic losers at this failing "news" paper.

D.4 Staff Report (For Possible Action): Review, discussion and potential
direction to staff regarding the purchase of a public safety center at 955
Kuenzli Street (RGJ Building) to include negotiate a purchase agreement,
purchase the property based on negotiations, the funding of this purchase
not to exceed $7,000,000 (General Fund); maintenance and security of the
property during improvements and prior to occupancy of the facility, and
appraisals on the current RPD Headquarters and recently purchased
parking lot.

ANOTHER LIE! THERE IS NO Official "public safety center" AT THAT BUILDING.
(Reno does have a real Public Safety Training Center that has been entrenched and in existence
at a different location for many years.)

The sleaze-infested RGJ (with support from other media.. and possibly some bureaucrats at city
hall who are overstepping their bounds) is blatantly telling lies to make it look like things are already
officially in motion.  That is (OR SHOULD BE) million miles from the Truth.
